BEFORE EYELASH EXTENSTION YOUR APPOINTMENT GUIDE

What you should do before your Eyelash Extension appointment?

Remove all eye makeup and clean your lashes with mild, oil free cleanser. Do not use oil based makeup removers to clean your lashes prior to the application. Do not put on any mascara.

If you wear contact lens, please remove them and wear glasses to your appointment, or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive at your appointment. Plan to set aside 1 - 2.5 hours for your appointment.

*PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE RECENTLY HAD YOUR EYELASHES PERMED EYELASH EXTENSIONS CANNOT BE APPLIED UNTIL 3 MONTHS AFTER THE PERMING PROCEDURE so please do not perm or curl your eyelashes before your eyelash extension appointment.

*Kindly advise if your eyes are red and sore from the incorrectly applied eyelash extensions that were applied elsewhere, we would advise resting your eyes from extensions for approximately 4 -6 weeks before having a professional set reapplied.

*If you had eyelash extensions applied somewhere else and are  unhappy with them our technicians prefer not to mix their work with other peoples work. So we advised that you either allow your extensions to naturally come off or contact us to discuss the options of having the extensions removed before your appointment to have a new set applied.

Hair Extension Care guide Before and after

1. Do not wash your hair until 48 hours after extensions have been installed, if your hair gets oily use a dry shampoo.

2. Brush dry hair out completely with an extension brush or boar bristle brush before you shower and before you sleep. Try to keep a brush with you throughout the day and brush the extensions when you can. Always be sure to be extremely gentle when brushing and do not pull from the root!

3.Wash every 2-3 days and do not wash your hair upside down. Do not scrub hair aggressively. Do not get conditioner on the bonds or they will eventually slip. Be sure to blow dry your extensions with medium or low heat. If you let the extensions air dry, be sure that you blow dry the bond. It is very important to keep moisutre free bonds.

4. Use a good quality hair shampoo and conditioner. Read the ingredance. Stay away from ones that contain sulphur and alcohol as it breaks down the bond faster than desired. Use something that is specifically formulated for dry or damaged hair. Moisturizing products are always the best.

5. Use a thermal heat protectant solution when styling hair and use a serum for shine. Do not flat iron or apply excessive heat to the bond itself. Remember it was installed with heat!

6 .Before you sleep braid hair into two side braids or in a ponytail to prevent tangling and matting at the root area. Use a satin pillow case to also prevent tangling.

7. Avoid salt water and chlorine water (wear a swim cap).

*it is common to lose approx 10-15 bonds per month. if you lose more than this whithin the first four weeks, contact me and we can re-install the bonds. always be sure to hold onto any lost bonds as they can be re-fused. *
